about

8. The Singing Fields. Eva and Finn
They cannot bear to be apart, and when they must sleep the one who is still awake watches over the other, guarding their dreams. They have a home by a lake, and, like the swans who live there, they know that they will always be together: soulmates, and partners for this life and beyond.

lyrics

As the singing fields watch over you
And the moonlight guides your dreams
I have watched you sleep in the morning light
When the stars whispered
And the birds called out
Their first songs to the dawn.

And the lake lies calm beneath the swans
As they glide their silent dance.
My thoughts have winged away with them
To a distant past
Only to return
To the place that I call home.

Your smile can take my breath away
I see you in my dreams.
As the story of our lives unfolds
The trees murmur
What will be will be
And the land hums its soft song.
